"The office’s Landlord Training Program is a free, one-day seminar of instruction for landlords and property managers that provides best practices on preventing and maintaining crime-free properties. During the eight-hour course, landlords learn essential information about screening applicants, preparing rental agreements, spotting signs of drug and gang activity, peacefully resolving crises, and deterring crime though property and ground maintenance."

Simplex Lock Retrofit

In February, we posted about a class action lawsuit regarding Simplex mechanical code locks. There is now an electronic code retrofit available for the L1000 Series being advertised as an "easy and inexpensive fix to address defeat issues."

Support for victims of domestic violence

Altic Lock Service offers a 50% discount on certain services for victims of domestic violence. Rekey charges, labor charges on installing reinforcements to protect against forcible entry, and service call charges are discounted if the resident has a protection order or is referred by a member of the Marion County Prosecutor's Office of Domestic Violence Affairs. Please note that if the resident is a renter, authorization for any work may need to be provided by the property owner.
